Do you offer a same day service?

Yes, we’ll try to fit you in today no matter what time you call (although the earlier you call the better!). Better yet, there is no surcharge for Same Day Service.

What are your business hours?

Our standard business hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. A surcharge for visits outside of these hours will apply (30% for home users, 50% for business users).

What are your charges?

For Home/Residential customers:
   Our standard hourly charge is $165 GST inc.
   A Non Standard Hours Surcharge of 50% applies for hours outside of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
   If you are outside of our service area, travel time is charged at the applicable hourly rate.

For Business customers:
   Our standard hourly charge is $190ex GST.
   A Non Standard Hours Surcharge of 50% applies for hours outside of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
   If you are outside of our service area, travel time is charged at the applicable hourly rate.

Merchant fees may be payable and can be found in our Terms & Conditions.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, contactless-enabled (NFC) cards, Chip-and-PIN cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay and PayPal. Please note that merchant fees will apply (full details can be found on our Terms and Conditions.)

I have technical problems at home. Will you come to my house and fix them?

We have technicians ready to visit you at home to troubleshoot all your technology problems. We charge for time onsite and there is a one-hour minimum requirement. Often, it is cheaper to have computers repaired at our shop because we can offer fixed pricing (rather than having to bill for our technician’s time onsite). We know it may not be practical for some customers to bring their computer into the shop, so we also offer a pickup and drop off service ($25 per visit). What appointment slots are available?

Appointment slots are a minimum of one hour long and we take bookings from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. A 50% Outside Business Hours Surcharge applies to slots outside of our normal business hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

How do I book a TechSolver to come to my house or place of business?

Easy – you can submit a request via our online booking form or you can call us on 02 8502 8954. We will contact you within the hour to confirm your appointment or to arrange an alternative time.

How do I make a change to an existing booking?

You can either send us a message via the Contact Us form or you can call us on 02 8502 8954. To enable us to address your change promptly, please quote your reference number from your Booking Confirmation email.

Is there a TechSolver near me?

We’re based in Sutherland and our service area can be best described as “the Sutherland Shire and neighbouring suburbs”. You can view a map of our coverage on our service area page. If you are outside of our service area, an Extended Service Area fee of $15 applies.

How long will it take to solve my problem?

We typically solve problems within half an hour however occasionally it may take an hour or more depending on the nature of the issue.

I get confused talking to geeks because they use words that don’t make sense like “ram” and “sea pea you". Will I understand a TechSolver?

When you talk to one of our Technology Specialists, you’ll be immediately struck by how simple everything sounds because we believe “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough”. We keep the technical jargon to a minimum so you can understand exactly what we’re talking about.

My current technology support guy is going on holiday. Can you help me in their absence?

Do I really need to back up my data?

Great question! If you are a typical user who saves everything to their computers Windows C drive or macOS home directory, the likelihood is any loss of this data would be regretful and potentially disruptive. Most users would lose cherished photos, important documents as well as losing website usernames/passwords that have been stored in their browser and their music/video collection. You should bear in mind that all computer components fail eventually so you need to prepare for this proactively. Do you sell hardware or software?

What happens if you can’t finish the job onsite?

We’ll let you know if we can’t complete the job onsite or if we think it is more cost effective to finish the job offsite (for example, when we upgrade an operating system, it may take 2-3 hours elapsed time but actual time spent in front of the computer is typically less than an hour). In such an event, we will give you a number of options and act based on your decision.
